Holy Snapple!

I forgot to blog yesterday! Scary! I just got caught up in going on a hunt for a new phone (which I didn’t get) and grocery shopping (spent too much) and some CafePress designs (didn’t get much done). My dog is driving me insane as well. She barks so loud I can’t hear my self think. I feel like I have to use a megaphone to get some attention here.

See? It’s bad. I even got to class late today, because I had to print out my resume really quick before hand. And I got up late. Because my dog was barking like crazy. Get the picture?

Anywho, I’ll have something actually interesting (maybe) to blog about tomorrow, because Zazzle has Skateboards!!!! So for today, it’ll just be the excuses. Whoop, sorry.

Also, the news is that we are having some technical difficulties with CP with the images in our store while using IE6+. For some reason, while seeing our shop on Internet Explorer, you can’t see the images sometimes because they become “secure”. If this is happening to you, check to make sure the link doesn’t say “https” instead of “http”, and if it doesn’t, well then, you have the same problem I keep randomly having.

Veronica Mars Movie?

You all remember that spunky Veronica Mars? Well, I’m a total fan of the show, Veronica Mars, just about the best tv show ever made!

I just started watching the show a few months ago, so, tragically, I missed it when it was on the WB/CW. I’m working on Season 2 right now (I need some money to buy Season 3!), but I know the show suffered an early death. Some say the show was getting dull with the same jokes and cases as before. I say Veronica never gets boring! But I guess I’ll see when I finally purchase the final season! Anyways, there are rumors of a movie!

“Kristen and I ran into each other, and we did discuss a Veronica movie,” confirms Thomas, who says he has also had “a few conversations” with Mars executive producer Joel Silver.

Kristen [Bell] also seems to have high hopes for the movie.

Regarding her recent chat with Thomas about a Mars feature, the star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, perhaps not wanting to jinx things, flashes a Cheshire cat grin and says, “We’ll see.”

So let’s keep our fingers crossed and knock on some wood at the hopes of a Veronica Mars movie!

Phelps Phans Gather Round

Ok, I like Michael Phelps as much as the next American. He definitely puts the US on top. So don’t take this in the wrong way, but I just found it hilarious.

Improv Everywhere

If you were walking down Grand Central Station and suddenly hundreds of people froze in place, what would you do? What if you were eating lunch in a mall in LA, and suddenly a dozen people break into song and start dancing around the food court? How often do you pay attention to the world around you, instead of focusing on you, and where you have to get to. Improv Everywhere: They cause scenes!

So, while surfing the net, I came upon Improv Everywhere, a huge group of people that love to “cause scenes of good-natured chaos”. Stationed in New York, Improv Everywhere has been around for 7 years now! How surprising it took me so long to find them! If you want to head on over to their site, go here!

From the human mirror on a subway, to dancing in the windows of department stores, to the mp3 experiment, Improv Everywhere somehow manages to turn pranks into art. I absolutely love how they make people stop and notice the world around them, instead of ignoring everyone. I mean, who could ignore some dudes giving out free money on the subway? Not me!

So check them out, and see all of their pranks, or art if you’d like to call it! I know next time I’m in New York, I’ll try to join these guys for something!

Twilight Movie Now to Be Released November 21st

Yes, it’s true! The Twilight movie is now going to be released on the previous release date of Harry Potter (before it was moved back).

After Warner Bros. announced the new release date for Harry Potter HBP, Summit took the opportunity up and are now scheduling their release for the movie on November 21st, 2008.

Well, for all Twilight fans, this is exciting for you guys! I’m glad that the movie is going to be released, but to be completely honest, I don’t have high expectations for the movie.

Harry Potter HBP Delayed-Release Scheduled for Summer ‘09

Warner Brothers has declared that it is pushing back the release of the newest Harry Potter movie to summer 2009. The movie is now scheduled for release on July 17, 2009.

“Like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films — changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of,” Alan Horn said. “We agreed the best strategy was to move ‘Half-Blood Prince’ to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.”

They blatantly admit that they hope a summer blockbuster will rake in more money.

It’s unlikely they’ll be adding any additional scenes to improve the movie, as the article states, “The studio said it still plans to release the two-movie adaptation of the final book, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows,’ as planned, with the first part still on for November 19, 2009.”

I honestly think this is horrible. No Harry Potter movie this year, and yet it’s not going to be edited or improved in any way! Fans are going (and are) sorely disappointed. I most definitely didn’t believe my eyes when I saw this.

In my opinion? They just don’t want to compete with the Twilight movie. The film is set to be released on December 12, 2008, and the internet has been buzzing about it. It’s only a month after the release of HBP would have been. And while I think that the Twilight movie isn’t going to live up to many expectations, it still might have put a dent in the profits of Warner Brothers.
